A Light Blue and Red Winter Wedding
This last weekend, I had the opportunity and privilege to work with Shelby and Melvin on their winter wedding. When I first met with Shelby a few months back and discussed decorations with her, I was surprised by her choice in colors; red and light blue. My first thought was, “are you sure?” I had never seen these two colors together before. But Shelby has great taste and was a bride who knew what she wanted. And as you can see, it turned out beautifully!
Thank you Shelby and Melvin for allowing me to be part of your very special day!
Even my son, Mason, had a great time!
There were two big ideas that I took away from this wedding.
1. Your wedding colors do not need to dominate your event. Shelby knew what she wanted; just a touch of her colors here and there. Ivory linens with champagne accents were the main part of the decorations. Red napkins and light blue mason jars were how Shelby chose to incorporate her colors.
2. Chair covers can drastically change the feel of an event. I snap a picture as we were setting up of all the tables covered in linens but with no chair covers. Take a look at the difference. It is absolutely amazing.
