Pinterest wasn’t around when I planned my wedding, but came out shortly after and it has revolutionized how couples plan their weddings. In some ways, Pinterest has made it easier for couples to explain and show us their designs. From cruising through your boards, we gain an understanding of the overall design and feel you want for your wedding. On the other hand, it has also given us TOO MANY wonderful ideas and makes it really difficult to see if and how each can fit into our design and budget.

This is where coming to a design firm, like Skagit Valley Wedding Rentals is imperative. After hundreds of design consultations, we have come up with a process that helps us narrow down your ideas and leave with a cohesive design that is inspired by Pinterest but is unique to you and your fiance.

We find that by starting with your guest tables (which compromise a large portion of your reception design) the rest of the design process just falls into place. We take pieces that you love and have incorporated into your guest table and build on that for your head/sweetheart table, cake table, and entry/gift tables. For example, if you choose a pintuck napkin for the guest tables, we may suggest that you utilize the same pintuck texture and color for full tablecloths on your head table.

Whether you are thinking about working with us, a wedding planner, or are doing the design on your own, start with your guest tables. Look at your Pinterest board and pick the three to five guest tables you like the most. Pick little things that are on the guest table to build your design on your specialty tables.
