Throwback to one of our favorite styled shoots
Over the years, we have had the pleasure of working with many talented professionals and their amazing ideas, that when pulled together, creates a showstopping design. This vintage aviation styled shoot is still one that stands out in our minds. The unique theme of vintage aviation and travel is perfect for the wanderlust couple. Located in Burlington, Wa, the location was a perfect event space just up the road from us, at the Heritage Flight Museum. A majority of this shoot took place in the hanger as well as on a leg of the runway.
The “Skyraider” was the large show stopping plane that was photographed behind the guest table. It was then moved from inside the hanger to the runway. The Skyraider has such a large wing span that to be stored indoors, the wings must be folded and collapsed down.
The details:
Some of our favorite things featured here are the gold glass beaded charger, gold flatware, and the gold sequin backdrop behind the dessert table. We loved the color palette and attention to details in every piece along the way.
Whitley of Eastwood Events, the designer behind this shoot, showcased her attention to detail with a wooden plane placed in the floral as a “niner” table number. But, what could this shoot be, without a table? Amanda of Rustic Event Rentals is the classic “Boss Lady.” She is the creative engine behind the designs of her hand made tables and even mills and builds all her wood pieces herself.
When it came down to the finishing touches of details, Natalie of Pozie By Natalie was our go to lady! She had an inspiring twist on how to bring in a pop of color in the centerpieces, bouquets, and floral hot air balloon. Another detail that stuck out to us was the dessert table. Roxann of Xtra Special Cakes went above and beyond with the design of the cake. She hand painted a gold map on a two tier cake as well as building miniature cakes as a spin off from the traditional cupcakes.
We would love to hear from you
