Why I Should Rent my Wedding Linens

Engagement season is in full swing and we often hear from newly engaged couples as soon as the question has been popped! Although we love hearing your engagement story and we are just as excited about your wedding as you are, it is often too soon for us to be hired.

Our recommendation is that you start planning your rentals 6 months out from your wedding. Or, if you are having a short engagement we do not recommend planning your rentals until you have a venue. It may seem odd to be told don’t contact us until this time, but we have good reason that we have learned from past clients.

  1. When you are first engaged your creativity and ideas are flowing. You are also getting ideas from all your friends and family. We have found that couples that choose linens more than 6 months our usually come back and make major changes because they change their minds.
  2. If you do not have a venue it is hard to plan for the design elements of the space. We know it is exciting to think about all the little pieces of the day, but without the venue it is very hard to make any sort of decisions.
  3. Your venue and/or your caterer may offer or even include some of your linens. Having that knowledge makes for a much more productive meeting with us.

We advise clients to come to us for a design meeting 3-6 months out. We love when you have a Pinterest board or a vision you can show us and then we can show you how linens can help you achieve the wedding of your dreams.
